Ibrahim El Dessouki is a distinguished Egyptian contemporary painter recognized for his expressive and layered compositions spanning portraiture, still life, and landscape. Born in Cairo into an artistic family, he earned a BA in Fine Arts (1992), MA (1997), and PhD (2003) focusing on painting techniques. El Dessouki’s paintings are characterized by meticulous brushwork, dynamic use of light and shadow, and poetic color harmony. He has exhibited internationally, including participation in the 10th and 11th Cairo Biennales, and his works are held in major museums and private collections, reflecting a synthesis of technical mastery and cultural narrative.
