Farghali Abdel‑Hafiz (1941–2023)

Farghali Abdel‑Hafiz was an Egyptian painter and sculptor renowned for his role in the

post‑modern art movement in Egypt. As a co‑founder of The Axis Group, his mixed‑media

works combine folk motifs with contemporary techniques, exploring narrative, culture, and

social commentary. Abdel‑Hafiz also contributed significantly to art education and exhibited

internationally.
